It has nothing to do with nostalgia for Cydia or anything like that- I think most of us don't really care what it is as long as it works. I have no allegiance to Cydia other than the fact it doesn't crash my device and I like seeing the message that my SHSH is on file (don't know if Rock has an equivalent function for this or not). If Rock extensions didn't crash my damn phone almost every time I use Kirikae or SpotBright, I'd have no problem with it.
