He seems to prefer Diop away from the Boleyn, so I would go for your team but Diop rather than Collison. I also hope Hall gets a spot on the bench.

Sadly Stanislas is reported on the club site as out for a month following surgery...and incredibly Piquionne is out with toothache!

Good point...you could add the 1-0 at United for the last game of the season.

May 86 - Away to West Brom. We won 3-2, Ray Stewart said after of the late penalty that he thought he was shooting for the championship. I knew better as I was at Stamford Bridge watching Kenny Dalglish win the title for Liverpool (lesson learnt never rely on Chelsea for anything)

May 93 - Home to Cambridge. We won 2-0. We needed to match Pompey to get promoted and I think it was Clive Allen who got a late one to wrap it up. I can only remember being convinced they would equalise

April 1980 - Probbaly doesn't count but a night game against Birmingham. We were cruising the league and had reached the Cup Final. There were over 37,000 there and I recall my feet not touching the terrace in the North Bank for ages (thank goodness we had no fences). I'm sure Archie Gemmill outjumped Alvin Martin for one of their goals. Lyall moved Bonds to midfield to rouse the boys (which he did) before getting sent off for having a tear up with Colin Todd. Up there for me as one of THE electric night games I have been to. We lost 2-1, barely won again that season...although the Cup Final was rather sweet.

I'm glad to read posts that have nothing to do with this season. After most post match analyses I have to lay in a dark room until the headaches go. Its even worse if I have had to watch the match first.

15 was the number he took when they retired 6 (his previous number). No conspiracy on this one.

Devo you are right to say that TV coverage is better than the days of te great Brian Moore but I am sure you would agree that off the ball movement is never picked up.

Ilans positives are that he has actually scored (which is very good) and he is fitter and quicker than all the options. I talso hink his touch is pretty good actually. He (understandably) struggles with the physical side and goes down too enthusiastically and can't speak English. I think we all agree he should start as I think he might be a better sort of outlet ball than Franco (who I do like).

Devo, top analysis. Agree with everything. A couple of builds, from what I have seen of Spence he still looks lightweight for a centre half (maybe I will be proved wrong) and perhaps right back initially may suit. Secondly, to echo ChrisChris we do need to get some width into the squad. We are always too narrow and that makes us easy to defend against
