Brooks Hatch : Brooks Hatch: Sunday baseball wrapup

Brooks, have you heard whether Robles will be able to start this weekend? I know it may be too early to tell. Also, any talk on who the fourth and fifth starters might be, including the S. Utah game? I assume Nygren and Boyd, maybe Gaviglio. Finally, how close is Quiring to playing again? Thanks.

The only Pac-10 men's basketball teams in post season are Cal and Washington (NCAA), Arizona State (NIT), and Oregon State (CBI). No UCLA, Arizona, Stanford, or Oregon.

Daily Camera.com: : Football driving force behind Pac-10 talk - Boulder Daily Camera

How about this proposal for Pac-10 expansion: Pacific Division - WSU/Wash, OSU/Oreg, Cal/Stan, UCLA/USC Southwest Division - ASU/Ariz, BYU/Utah, CU/Nebr, Texas/A&M The college football world is about to change big-time out west. Hang on!

Daily Camera.com: : Conference conundrum - Boulder Daily Camera

The best Pac-10 expansion proposal I've heard is the following: Pacific Division - WSU/Wash, OSU/Oreg, Cal/Stan, UCLA/USC Southwest Division - ASU/Ariz, BYU/Utah, CU/Nebr, Texas/A&M Works well for the original Pac-8 members. Works well for CU. With this alignment, the Pac-16 becomes the pre-eminent conference for football and many other sports. Think big and hang on for the ride!

Cliff Kirkpatrick : Cliff: Roster numbers, more

On another subject of interest, I heard the best proposal yet for an expanded Pac-10 that potentially keeps the pigskin Beavs in LA every year and protects the old Pac-8 rivalries. How about this: West Division - WSU/Wash, OSU/Oreg, Stan/Cal, UCLA/USC Southwest - ASU/Ariz, BYU/Utah, Colorado/Nebraska, Texas/A&M Geographically, this would work pretty well. Schedule-wise, it would be a challenge. Money-wise, it could be a big winner! The Pac gets Texas and Nebraska into the fold and foils the Big 10. On the negative side, this mega-conference would put even more pressure on Beaver Nation to pony up or be left in the Trojan/Longhorn dust!
