I have a 160 pound German Shepherd. So would people say no way he is not a purebred German Shepherd, just because he is so much larger than the average? He is registered and has a very impressive family in the show ring. Yes he is way bigger than his standard breed but he is all German Shepherd, we have papers, as well as seeing 3 generations of his family. I really don't think you can go by the size to tell what breed a dog is. There are very large and very small in all breeds.
