You should try NYC fee of $340 every 3 years for a gun that you can only keep at home or take to the range in NYC. Your license is not valid outside of NYC and if you want to also have a handgun where you work you have to get another license and pay another $340 every 3 years so. That is just to keep it locked up at home, no carry. Most of the rest of NY is OK, a lifetime license but local judges get to add restrictions. Restrictions range from judges who only allow you to own 3 handgun and only use for hunting, .. to no restrictions.
