I forget where I first heard this, but --

It'd be a hell of a world if we all got what we deserved.

There are probably at least a dozen people in this story who have behaved in a more offensive manner than Shirley Sherrod, IMHO.

Starting with Ben Jealous, Cheryl Cook, Tom Vilsack and Barack Obama.

These people would love to make it all about Shirley Sherrod. What better way to deflect attention from their own bad behavior?

Your servant here, he has been told
to say it clear, to say it cold:
It's over, it ain't going any further
And now the wheels of heaven stop
you feel the devil's riding crop
Get ready for the future: it is murder

When they said REPENT REPENT
I wonder what they meant
When they said REPENT REPENT
I wonder what they meant
When they said REPENT REPENT
I wonder what they meant

There is also a website named WizBang Politics listed in the Scrappleface Blogroll (left-hand column of your screen), which I have made note of in the past.

"You have to keep those Republican names under wraps -- "

Oh, why not just keep them "under a boulder", WhizBang? Like in your personal Description?

"[W]hen the president says he welcomes substantive new ideas, he means that if you have the nerve to offer any ideas -- as Whole Foods' CEO, John Mackey, did in The Wall Street Journal last month -- his allies will attempt to destroy your business and reputation.

When the president says everyone must chip in and sacrifice, he means more than 95 percent of small businesses won't have to chip in and sacrifice. That's good. But consider his plan a small-business generator, because larger businesses are sure to be small in no time (and many small businesses have a new incentive to stay that way)."

More.

Yes, that was the article I was trying to link to. I'm not sure how I managed to mess up the link. I usually check links after I post them, but this time I didn't -

If you plan on listening to Obama's latest sales pitch tonight, keep this in mind --

Listening to a Liar .

The most important thing about what anyone says are not the words themselves but the credibility of the person who says them.

The words of convicted swindler Bernie Madoff were apparently quite convincing to many people who were regarded as knowledgeable and sophisticated. If you go by words, you can be led into anything.
