It's not like the multiplayer option is forced on you - why complain when it's a nice little extra for you? And to be honest, it's not entirely a new thing - most old games had multiplayer options. RTSs like Age of Empires and Metal Fatigue had them. FPSs like Half-Life. It's more that the multiplayers of games are becoming more popular - in which case they are, in fact, needed.

You can get night vision goggles with MW2? Exactly how bad is it that it needs a piece of equipment usually several hundred pounds to come with it?

I mean, I went looking for night vision goggles a while back (Don't ask why) and the cheapest, decent pair I found were at least £500! It might even be cheaper to just buy an Xbox and this collector's edition.

But anyway, this is pretty much what I would have written - I tried the game first, and couldn't get anywhere as it was too ridiculously hard. I imagine WiiMotion Plus helps, though I don't have it. But yeah.... you wrote exactly what I would have.
