So sad to read this I will not pass judgement as not all facts are stated.
I think that we all should stop second guessing, and say many prayers for this entire family, and for the young boy who took his parent's live's.

Where were the parent's and if they caught him and the child why didn't they do something to him.??? I have 2 grown children and if this had happened the guy would not have seen the police or jail we would have sent him to where he needs to be. HELL
I know my husband and I would have beat him near death for it . He deserves worse than prison skin him alive and dump salt on him drag him behind a truck a few miles etc... that's justice and much deserved He's lower than a worm

To averagejoe I have delt with the courts on other things with family members and I can assure you she will pay for that counseling out of her own pocket.
I think the punishment fits just fine she had been warned many times before.
I have followed her story for 2 years, and I'm so glad that the law finally did something.
I don't blame the breed of this dog its totally the owners fault and neglect most any breed of dog can and will do harm if not trained and kept fenced in.

Well I've seen how truck drivers drive and they are not at all safe some are even dangerous I bet you done even have a license to drive after all the admitted things you've done against the law. Blow your BS another direction.

You are absolutely right alot of laws in many states need to be reviewed and rewritten.
In my opinion animal abuse crimes also need harsher punishment instead of the slap on the hand most of these people running puppy mills are getting.
