There has to be a reason why she hadn't called authorities in order to protect her other children.
But then - cash flow could have kept her quiet.
I am glad and thankful to the law for finding this meth lab and hopefully the young children will be fine; I don't know too much about meth - I don't know if the toxic fumes injured their brains at this point.
It's really a sad story.

Hopefully the law will nab these guys for some answers for the deceased's family to have peace.

That sounds like an honorable trip to the EOE office - a discrimination against a whistle blower; somewhere in those words...
The media only doing a good job and the former employee doing hers.
I think - someone needs to remind the Board and...that animals can't talk, so sometimes they are blessed by those who can.
I hope the shelter doesn't receive any flood money - theyll only buy more sleep-meds !

Maybe the items were for Christmas - she faces the recession same as everybody I'm thinking.
Kind of feel sorry for her, but.a crime is a crime, you get caught don't cry "bout doing the time.

go ahead and do as the signs on the yard say, send Rubashkin home On A BOAT, and all those that involved themselves in making and displaying a United States Flag !
A few of my own family members fought overseas, some had U.S. Flags draped over their coffins and there were no faces of any one on those Old Glory"s !
Those Jewish neighbors need to read about being a United States citizen; further more, I would think doing what they did falls under treason.

With people thinking to save the bricks and make a park (like a memorial I'm guessing...), I ask "why ? "
If you want to remember the plant - remember the "Wilson's employees" who lost benefits and all that. Why would you build around, save pieces, or commerate it when it hurt so many people and cold-heartedly took away any gains for the future of those employees ?
By the way, Cedar Rapids is Cedar Rapids and will always be Cedar Rapids by every Cedar Rapidians' memory of Cedar rapids. This is the new age, and we move on because we are Americans. I love cedar Rapids for all the old buildings and the memories that fill my sometimes emptiness by not seeing the same old Cedar rapids that I grew up in.
I have to move on though, and leave the big decisions to the city - they try their best, and I have always admired their support and " pulling through " for the rest of us ! That is what makes Cedar rapids jamesman...

what if the sleepwalker was NOT a sleepwalker ? What if he played like he was sleeping ? Wouldn't you shoot or stab someone if you were the sleepwalker when someone began beating you up ?
It sounds like the sleepwalker should get medical attention before he too, might or could walk in the busy traffic out doors.
Then there's the fact - or at least sounds like facts...the sleepwalker must not be on the "across-the-hall apartments'" lease contract - so who does live there and shouldn't that person(s) be liable ?
I hope the news people continue on this story.

Those voters called stupid are I guess...because they are the ones brave enough and American citizen enough to vote. Not just complain and call others names, how rude.
If I could, I would buy them a building or better yet...if I were rich, I'd build them a new building. Since I can not and am not - I can pray for a good outcome, and place no blame on our linn County administrators or voters.
Cedar Rapids is still a beautiful city to me and forever will be !

What a super good guy he is.
All the recent, present, and future news focuses on our boys in the military; some sad news along with the triumphant.
But - for this guy to join and have a picture looking like a Marine (I wish they would show his "before" pic) doesn't erase my memory of me crying when I read and seen photoes about the defenseless animals.
I believe it is good if he gets a slap on the back and fights with the Marines and possibly becomes a hero for our country -
BUT, he'll need to answer to Someone else for what he helped to do; Marine , hero, or not !
( My husband is a good retired Marine).
