I certainly have phoned it in on Sunday night, and Wednesday night before small group, and Thursday night before band practice at church, and Monday night because I had "a case of the Mondays". So best bet might be Tuesdays and Saturdays (unless i have care ministry work i need to do at church on Tuesdays). Definitely not Fridays, who wants to eat in on Friday night???

The topic of the Morning Devotions program that I produce at the retirement community I work in, was about the rescue. The senior pastor had pictures of the miners as they were getting out of the capsule. His talk was about how we all need to be rescued, and then he related it to his own conversion experience.

I thought that he must have stayed up pretty late last night to get his powerpoint together for me this morning by 8am.

I don't know how I feel about him comparing his tent meeting conversion to being trapped underground...

my BF from school is this person. The prayers are more like running commentary. It's a wonder sometimes that new people ever come back to the small group. His also the prayer shot blocker.

I can understand that. The only thing that makes it worse is if a book is a dud. It is extremely painful to get thru. We have instituted a gut-check when we start new studies, so that if it is going poorly we aren't afraid to say "bag it."
