Oh and one more rant: The whole spike the football argument? Excuse me? Are we playing a game here? Dumbest reason, ever. This isn't a game with friends this is war with terrorists who don't play by the same code of honor you have. You don't win a war with terrorists by being friendly and empathetic to their sensitivities. Spike that football!

The woman rushed the SEAL but was only shot in the leg, while an unarmed “resisting” Osama was executed, not shot in the leg? Don’t SEALS know that Muslimahs also have bomb vests? It’s just not adding up. Yes, we could assume he was Ben Laden, but we didn’t have absolute proof until after he was dead and we performed DNA analysis. That’s why we don’t regularly shoot to kill, we capture unless forced to kill. So why did we shoot to kill in this instance – when he was unarmed? What if it had turned out that he wasn’t Osama, but a look alike? Would you have still defended our actions? Yes, we are lucky it was him, supposedly, but WHAT IF IT WASN’T? It’s not our policy in a raid to shoot to kill, if capture is possible. So why didn’t we shoot him to APPREHEND HIM, just like we shot the woman, to apprehend her, in the leg?! And did we have to release a video making him look like some old poor guy ? Isn’t releasing home videos of that Osama shown on video as an old man in a grey beard in a rundown cement room crouching inside a blanket watching himself on TV AND announcing this same ol Osama was UNARMED when he was shot in the head just a BIT MORE damaging to our whole International Image (the one that Obama cares so much about) than simply announcing Osama the worldwide terrorist was killed and then releasing the photos? Was it imperative that we admit he was unarmed ? We could have omitted those facts to not allow sympathy towards him. Already the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, etc have all taken sides with Osama and against our “execution” of him without a trial. And let me remind you that both those groups have new found power and legitimacy in their respective lands thanks to another darling liberal cause. Yeah, I’m no Michael Moore fan, but I would have LOVED to see him tried for his actions and executed by our law,& if that weren’t possible, we should have at least dealt with the body by the proper channels, medical examiner, autopsy, etc and then not released videos portraying him in a sympathetic light. What we did after the kill and the reasons we gave were just BS. Strict Islamic burial within 24 hours, yet, “Osama was never a real Muslim, he distorted Islam” yada yada ? Again, doesn’t add up. Isn’t burying him Islamically MORE insulting to all those moderate muslims he blew up alongside the infidels he so hated?
And burial at sea? Since when is that Islamic? avoid turning his grave into a Shrine? Since when do Wahabi/Salafi Muslims believe in shrines?
What about the potential for ID’ing and tracking the extremists Muslims who DID visit his grave as if it were a shrine, think of all the potential tips there! None of this is making sense.
No photos of dead Osama, but YES to release of CIA torture memos?

We’re told one day that Navy SEALS were used precisely for the reason of identifying Osama’s remains to the world and relieving the people of doubt that he might have escaped – but then who are we identifying him to when the photos are sealed? Then the constant badgering of any doubters as “deathers” aligning them with truthers, birthers, - basically ANY doubting of Obama’s rationale is now akin to flat earthers and moon landing deniers. Well that's great, never question your leaders, you're a "conspiretard" All questions are equally invalid, forever, Amen. So why campaign for transparency then, if it all boils down to simply trusting our politicians' word?

I have never watched the show, and never spent more than 30 seconds total on E!

I was wondering the same thing, "interfering with the system" ? Sounds like changing phone numbers in a directory or speed dial settings. Wtf? Maybe they'll get off with misdemeanor tresspassing. Either way, it was sloppy.

Damn. Looks like he let himself get a big head over his sudden success with the campy routine that Acorn fell for and got a little too arrogant about what he thought he could get away with, I mean this is embarassing because he actually did have something to contribute - he had a lot of potential but not enough sound judgement, in the end. Apparently he crossed the line, and I'm happy to see many commmentors on these sites not defending this latest stunt.

I empathize with the protestations of reducing your belief to an "invisible man in the sky" only if that isn't what you personally believe, however all three Abrahamic gods are given male personas in the scriptures and in the classical art, and looking up to the sky when praying is pretty much the impression believers have created. And well, as far as the invisible part...yeah.

Chicago has had to face some bad press recently with the beating death of the kid being a major news headline. Although it wasn't really "news" in the sense that Chicago has had a high murder rate for years. But it was caught on tape and that sensationalized it. That, coupled with the fact that since S. America was due an Olympics hosting, made Rio an obvious choice.
No doubt, Rio is no pacifistic-paradise but dont confuse yourself with facts, Chicago has been the center of media criticism lately and thats what really counts on the world stage. Team Oprahma should have flown to Chicago and "tooken no prisoners" there instead of making us look like arrogant fools in front of the IOC.

lol I never saw that, but that's hilarious. Fanatical Christians don't practice stonings, they send their kid to Jesus Camp. The only actual stonings today are done by Muslims, but that wouldn't make America look bad, so it's not in the plot. I would have no problem if the show portrayed believable fanaticism by certain quasi-Christian cults, (like refusal of medicines or blood transfusions) but this storyline is so off the mark.

I used to like L&O SVU because of the actors more than the writing but even that show has become so predictable with its Liberal spin I can't waste my time and now I watch the "real" thing, on the new TLC shows "The Shift" and "Policewomen of Broward County."
