The reason Mr. Leone and other neighbors hired this security guard is that we work during the day and afternoon (when these burglaries are commited) and the police officers cannot hang out in our neighborhood to catch these criminals. We are counting on the security guard to be our eyes when we are not home. It is extremely unsettling that these thieves have targeted a home 3 times!!! We would like extra patrols in our neighborhood but do understand that with only 19 officers on patrol each shift makes it difficult to cover the whole city. Yes believe it or not there are only 19 officers patrolling all of South Bend at one time!!!! And you are upset that we hired a security guard???
