I am known as the "warden" in my home. With my husband in the service, we raise our children to put God first, and respect and obey the core values of integrity, trust, honor, courage etc. Too many parents have given up. They depend on the schools to raise their children. Parents have become more of "babysitters" than "teachers". We have a responsibility to God and to our children. Somewhere throughout the years...that has gotten lost in translation. Each generation becomes more co-dependent on technology and we are destroying our children and world! What do we expect to happen when we as a Nation have removed God from just about everything?

In reference to your comment, "values should come from one's parents" I totally agree. But the reality is...they aren't. In the majority of households, both parents have to work to make ends meet - that is if there are even two parents to begin with. With the click of the remote, children can see anything from Tampax commercials, condom commercials, Bra commercials, soft "porn" and everything blowing up from trucks to buildings to people. Then they move on the the Web....where they can see every type of sex act performed, cyber bullying, buy perscriptions drugs like Oxycontin, buy guns, learn how to build bombs and chat with pedifiles and terrorists....when they aren't channel surfing or surfing the web....they are texting, sexting, playing video games etc. Where are their parents?

Every soldier who has taken the oath to protect our freedoms - HAS NOT FORGOTTEN. They look that same terror in the face every day! It sickens me, absolutely sickens me our government is where they are today. You know, a leopard never changes his spots....and what you do in the dark will be brought to light. As upset as we are with our government, think about all the soldiers at war who have to call Obama their boss....their Commander-in Chief. Please pray for my family and all the men in woman in uniform....we may need them to DEFEND US HERE AT HOME soon, to save our own freedoms from becoming extinct. (END)

Now at almost 40, he is in Iraq, and has been away from me and his two children since June 08. He does it for me, his children, and every American who deserves the freedoms millions have fought and died for. Everyone who says war is not needed, or Presidents who want to sit and "talk" with dictators, obviously slept through 9/11 and the years following it. We vowed "we would never forget".....yet it appears we have. Cont....

Thank you all for your comments regarding my husband's service. Many recruits join the military right out of high school. My husband was 36 yrs old when he joined. He felt he couldn't just sit back and not doing anything anymore after 9/11. Unlike others, due to his age he was not allowed any "waivers" to join the service. He quit his job and worked out 8 hrs a day, 6 days a week so he could drop the weight and body fat to meet tape. In two months he lost almost 40 lbs and enough inches off his waist to make tape. While in boot camp, he was the oldest recruit they had. Everyone laughed as he tried to run the 2 mile in 18 minutes....but you know what...he did it. And by the time he graduated boot camp, he was running the 2 mile in 15 minutes and doing double the sit-ups and pushups. CONT.....

You are correct. However, God said give Ceasar what is his and give God what is his. Ceasar was the government. My Pastor just spoke about that in church this morning. I am so happy to be a Christian and know who holds the future....it is NOT Obama or his posse. PTL

Your posting brought tears to my eyes. Unless you are apart of the military family, I am not sure people in general really understand what exactly it entales, or the stress it causes to the families left behind. My father was a USAF SGT in the Vietnam war, and my husband is a NJNG CPL in Iraq right now. It doesn't matter if you are retired or how long ago you served....you are a hero in my book and I too thank you for making my life and my children's life free! Your reward is in Heaven my friend. Good luck to you and thank you for all you have contributed to make this country great!!

people are loosing their jobs by the thousands, their homes, health benefits, lives are being destroyed by the Madeoffs of the world, our government is spending money faster than we can print it, and yet...Pelosi is complaining about not being able to use Airforce planes, and Obama is wanting to have tea with dictators..and dont get me started with Reid and Barney Frank. I feel like we (the people) are burning in a fire and they (the government) are holding the hose - but no one wants to or knows how to turn on the water!!! I don't believe the Good Samaritan Law was created for those in our government. The next time NASA goes to the moon...I suggest we put Obama and his posse on it, and leave them there! Just a thought :)
