KATU - Portland, OR : Mom not happy after child is taped to chair a school | KATU.com - Portland News, Sports, Traffic Wea

Good Grief!! Well, we could say that we have come a long way from 'paddles, chairs and dunce-caps in corners or in front of the class' . Those items of not so long ago , could , in todays views, really set some people off. But masking tape??? Schools don't want to get sued so they will back down to bully parents. Which is hard to reconcile when schools advocate 'Bully free Zones' to their students. Enough already. I applaud the teacher for her creative, non threatening, non physical, use of a visual aid to remind a student of what a Seat Belt/ Safety Belt's use is for. Being safe in the class room, to Look , Listen and Learn. No teacher worth their salt would just arbitrarily decide to place masking tape across a child's lap to cause harm. Wake up parent. Kudos Teacher. The alternative would be to hear in a court room ' Help, Abuse, my child was assaulted with a piece of Tape!' ... by the way, how many of us have seen kids, even our own and sometimes adults, put tape, duct tape, strapping tape over their own mouths. And THAT was for fun!

In the south we had the DQ truck. Yep, Dairy Queen had a vending van that toured the area. Regardless, they could be nice treats, but still kind of expensive.

Again, as so many of us have said before, Castration, Incarceration and let him profess and practice what ever religion he wants.... within his cell. Leopards do not change their spots. They just learn to hide them better. The 'I've got Christianity Card' has been played way too often. A repentant Pariah.. I don't buy it! Aesop's Fables, anybody remember the fox who reluctantly ferried the scorpion across the river? There were reasons those stories existed and survived all these hundreds plus years, they were just as true then, as they are now. DO NOT LET HIM OUT!

I have nothing against legal ownership of guns or those who would legally collect , no matter how large the collection. My attention was towards his illegal status, illegal papers, illegal operations, the potential of his network and how long he had to be in operation before he was caught. That an astute reader noticed his arrest and stepped forward to say ' I think there is more to this guy' is praise worthy. A 'Wake up Call' should be for Fed and Gov Law enforcment that this slipped under their 'Homeland Security' radar. I am from a military family. No need to wake me up. I am glad this guy was caught and look forward to any possible updates on his network.

The court records show that they found: 'a .50 caliber sniper rifle, two .308 calber sniper rifles, three .300 caliber sniper rifles, eight lawenforcement style .223 caliber rifles, three Glock semi-automatic and guns, 100 .223 caliber magazines, 3,800 rounds of .223 caliber ammo., and several other firearms-related items, such as high end scopes. the total value recovered is well over $30,000. Many of the weapons were in boxes with shipping lables to McMinnville, Oregon office that KING/Malekpour entered.'.... ...Good grief! Either that is for a small unit/army, or that is for some MIGHTY big game hunting!
