Hello. I have a question that I hope someone can help me with.
I just like to say first that I have googled, looked through forums and checked comments here but it didn't help me too much unfortunately.

Anyway, to my question: I have an iPhone 3GS @ 4.1 with the old bootrom and baseband 05.11.07. I have no mac, and neither do anyone I know so it's redsn0w for me. Is there any way for me to update to 4.2.1 without updating the baseband along the way?

Yeah, I never used Spirit. Never installed 3.1.3. I don't know however weather spirit can JB 3.1.2 and below.
But, yeah, I used Blackra1n.

Are you absolutely positive about this?

I have **935 in my serial, and iBoot 359.3, so I assume I can jailbreak iOS4. Only problem is that I am on a PC so I will patiently wait for redsn0w :P

I have to join in on the questiontrain here. I'm sorry if I am repetitive but I have been lurking through all questions and answers but I can't find a straight answer or anyone with the same things as I:

I have an iPhone 3GS @ 3.1.2, jailbroken by Blackra1n only
iBOOT: 349.3
BB: 05.11.07

I saw somewhere that if the 3rd, 4th and 5th numbers in the serial were 939 and below you had the old bootrom. I have **935, so I assume I have the old bootrom?
My jailbreak is also untethered so does this mean I have the old bootrom?

My phone operator sent me a text message that iOS4 will come out tomorrow (they usually send me useless information and it is annoying as hell), however I read elsewhere that iOS4 will come out on Thursday. Who to believe?
Also, I have read that iOS4 beta have been jailbroken, but for what devices? I know I shouldn't expect a jailbreak soon, I am just curious. I haven't been so active on these sites for a couple of months and I have been lurking for hours now reading all (old) news.

Yeha, unfortunately... but he said it wanted it for free, and taking the consequences for stealing a parents creditcard is much better than cracking Snes4iPhone, because stealing the creditcard WILL give him consequences, unlike cracking... ;)
