Reda, you seriously need help. When I first moved to GA, I was a temp and worked for a huge company which I will not name. I was a "girl Friday" who would go from dept. to dept., to fill whatever needs the depts had. This was to say that I could do that because I wasn't a union member. One day I was working the phones regarding upcoming shifts that would be overtime, and it was explained to me that my continued temp contract strictly relied on me providing PROOF that I followed the list of those who signed up for OT. I had to make one call, followed up by three subsequent calls if I could not reach the person on the first. I had a specified amount of minutes and seconds to allow a call-back by the union employee, and if I was 1 second early calling the next person on the rotation list, I would be let go.

Needless to say, a couple of employees said they did not get my voice message on their answering machines at home, and I spent one entire work day explaining to and showing my documentation of my call attempts to these 2 employees who said "she never left me a message about the possible OT," which was a violation of their union contract.

That was the most disgusting I have ever felt, and it wasn't my fault - I was disgusted by these d-bags' assertion at their RIGHT to a job! The jobs are NOT yours, you idiots!!! The jobs belong to the employer, who will provide them to you IF YOU HAVE TALENTS WORTH AWARDING! Who the fark did they think they were? I have to say they made me so glad I was not a permanent employee of that plant and union.

It was thuggery plain and simple. I felt my safety was in question as long as I worked at that place. I'm thankful to God it was only a temp gig.

So long, union thugs... keep up your dictatorial regime. Unions are dinosaurs and should be viewed as such.

Is anybody here with me? If that would have been me, I would have started duct-taping one leg of the sign and criss-crossing it to the other, so as to replicate a "handcuff" of the sign. So if it's a Republican Prez Olby's obsession with past conservatives is a mild form of OCD, I don't expect Olbermann or Matthews to kep their jobs very long while trafficing in this garbage..

Hey, Cowboy, I read that GQ piece about 3 months ago, and you know what? Re-reading it again I still find it disgustingly revolting. Call me callous, but I think we are better off now without that cad! And, no, I didn't mourn his death either. I also DESPISE Chris Dodd for having had taken part in that behavior, but even more puzzled why he was re-elected over and over and over in CT. Some things can just never be explained.
