It's sad that the prosecutor didn't step up to the plate with his circumstances as well on behalf of Michele's family; like the fact that a biomedical engineer determined her fatal wounds were caused by the torque of the impact of the collision. It's sad that victims aren't allowed the same rights as defendants.

The fact that Sacco's attorney was permitted to offer any comment about speed, recklessness, bald tires or anything at this hearing infuriates me. What does No Contest mean? If those issues were to be brought up he shouldn't have taken a plea deal and the prosecution could have addressed their evidence on those issues. Bryan Sacco did not face Michele's family and apologize. Clearly his words were meant only for the judge to hear. I hope Judge Pierges' optimism for Mr. Sacco's rehabilitation isn't in vain.
