Wow! Seriously stunning photos, Greta. Way to go! And I love hearing the story of the truck. So much meaning.

I put the first two months of Through The Lens Thursday prompts into my calendar. I really want to take more photos this year. We'll see if I actually follow through.

I tend to find myself with people who are older than me. Dan is 33. I was one of the first of my peer group to have children, so many of my Mama friends are older, and most of my blogging community are older than I am as well. I don't say this to rub it in - but to say that I really don't feel as though 30 is old at all. And in fact, sometimes I have to remind myself that I am not in fact in my 30s myself.

Also, I'm pretty sure no one defines 30 as "over the hill". I've seen it apply to 40 and lately even 50, but definitely not 30. When I picture 30 in this mountain metaphor, I see it maybe as the plateau. It is here that things really start to come together in a person's life. At least I hope so, because I don't feel like my life is put together yet, and I'd like another full decade to accomplish that.

I think you're going to have an awesome 30s. The only thing that makes me sad about it is when I think it means you're closer to moving away. *sob*

It is so funny how reading these posts bring up more kindergarten memories for me.

To keep track of the days of the week, I used to have underwear with the days of the week listed on it. My best friend and I would go to the washroom and sit in side-by-side stalls and she would ask me what day it was according to my panties.

Good for you Greta! EVERYONE should get headshots done, once a year - especially bloggers (that's my opinion.. but I'm also a photographer) ;) You look stunning! I'm so glad you like how they turned out.

Almost 10. I started when I was 17 and am turning 27 this month. It is crazy when you think about it, but I also started off doing the typical vague-blogging teenager thing, so I prefer to NOT think about it. ;)
