Actually it's easier to get Welfare and State Aid from Iowa than in TN, IL, WY, MT.......and although law indicates 5 year max- no one is watching so you can continue to get it for a lifetime.
Understood but too many are crying out about healthcare and they don't have any understanding of it either.
Here's one thing to accomplish if you want change: STOP THE INSURANCE COMPANIES FROM OUT SOURCING CLAIMS PROCESSING TO FOREIGN COUNTRIES - IT'S AMERICAN HEALTHCARE, IT'S NOT WORLD WIDE!
How can a person be expected to correctly process a claim if they can't even speak fluent English, don't have the insurance themselves, never had medical terminology, don't have a clue what a modifier does or never seen an ICD-9 or CPT book? Why would I want to send them my medical records for additional information?
Just because Miller-Meeks is a Physician doesn't mean she knows much about how healthcare works. She has had hired help to do that dirty work for her. Reimbursement is one thing on the physicians end, but actual out of pocket and premium is another. Healthcare is following the trend of the baby boomers - the more health issues they have, the more the rest of the general population is going to cover it. Until the government puts a cap on the insurance companies, nothing will change. Just because Obama swished his hand in the middle of the healthcare system doesn't mean anything was accomplished!
When saving a structure by listing it on the Historic Preservation list, a specific percentage of the original structure has to be maintained and left unchanged. Not knowing fully what that percentage is or entails, I wouldn't suspect the majority of the properties under consideration would not qualify beings they have been fully renovated into apartments, which essentially has ruined the interior designs and integrity of the history it holds.
I am interested to know the specifications to qualify and why a Historic Preservation list was not made/reviewed in the 14 years the group emerged prior to the flood, Doesn't that seem like the logical point of interest to initially focus on?

I am sooo fed up with this crap!! I thought the NEW council was not in favor of additional Section 8? Low to Moderate is just an upscale ghetto housing- Let's learn from what we have - Westdale Apts, Cedarwood Hills, Glennbrook -johnson Avenue, Raintree, apts behind chuck n dales.........WE HAVE ENOUGH ALREADY!!!! They all started out low to moderate too.....
