Require all cars sold in the US to have a proximity scanner requiring a valid code encrypted on the driver's liscense. No valid liscense, car won't start. Require the system to check the status of any new liscense with a DOT database before allowing the vehicle to start and then require a re-verify every 5 days. Think I'm crazy, then how about keep letting everyone who wants to drive and kill people and then throw them in jail for a few years and say nice things like 'justice' and 'closure' and pretend the world is OK.
Oh boo hoo money is going to an out of state company. Ever hear of Wal Mart or Mc Donalds ? And don't even think of trying to tell me that those places create jobs because the money going back to the city from the jobs is nothing even close to 50%, more like 10%. People here support the out of state corporations just fine, until they get caught speeding.
Does this mean they are going to focus on them 200,000 jobs they promised? So far we have seen proposals to ban speed cameras, get rid of the bottle deposit, sell a work of art, and the Gov is standing in the way of a $75M project to please his donors. The only jobs created in Iowa recently seem to be for slimly politicians and a governor who already gets a fat pension. I don't expect new jobs overnight but some evidence they are at least trying to honor their pledge would be nice.

Okey dokey then, say you burn something on the stove and smoke pours out ouf your house. The neighbor calls the FD and they show. Now even though you tell them its out when they get there, they still gotta go through the place to give the all clear. Is this the guy you want doing the walkthrough of your home?
Oh no, people are vowing not to live, shop, spend here. Where are they going to shop instead? Oxford? Are they going to see the events in Hills instead because of $5 parking here? The population in CR is increasing steadily despite the parking, the speed cameras, the $500 impound fee and all the other stuff that people claim will 'destroy' the city.
The guy is loose because the cops need the jail to lock up young folks who break alcohol and drug laws. We can't afford to lock up a repeat felon just for showing some kid a mag when people are out there drinking underage and smoking dope.
And more importantly, why no mugshot for them?
