You're kidding, right? Tell that to the victims of what you consider non-hate crimes.
hopefully it might prevent a kid from being raised in a bigoted environment, and growing up to become a Klansman himself.
How so? Not all bigots are murderers and by no means are all of them going to go out and commit crimes against gays, blacks, etc. I don't understand how you think this is going to prevent people from raising their children to be bigots. Care to explain?

So, hate and bigotry have nothing to do with human nature? Many women have husbands that have affairs and they don't kill them. I'm really not getting your "logic" here.
