If you dislike Kevin Smith movies, I doubt it's for the directing. You probably don't like his writing, so this movie should be in the clear for you, as he didn't write it.

I really enjoyed it and I thought Will Ferrell was a really solid first guest. Hopefully Conan's transition will make up for the awful Jimmy Fallon (although The Roots are a kick-ass house band).

I thought Hathaway was fantastic in Rachel Getting Married and slip-up or not, this "result" should prove to be right in the end.
