It takes 70% more energy to produce ethanol, than the energy actually in it. If all the automobiles in the U.S. were fueled with 100 percent ethanol, a total of about 97% of U.S. land area would be needed to grow the corn feedstock. Nothing but corn would cover nearly the total land area of the United States. But these guys is smart, yah! We will just all have to move to China.
