ppl aren't developing ennui over the Content of the ads, but the format - it's the methodology to which ppl become inured.

"oh look an ad saying a politician said something...blah blah blah."

If format did not matter and only content did, we would never see ads that deviate in format from each other to sell the same product over and over - the opposite of what real-world marketing does - providing novel formats or storylines to hawk the same thing time and time again.

The CPC "attack ads" are consistent the same: This guy said X; fear the consequences; trust us; those guys are wrong. CPC strong blah blah blah. Insert new variable X, repeat.
