I see Google Maps puts it at 823 miles from Mountain View, CA to Pacific, WA. It was obviously a scam at that low price she was quoted. Sad they take advantage of the obviously not so sophisticated.

You mean this Tsunami debris that will not make it to our shores and will sink long before it gets here? LOL Wonder how much of the rest of what they have said is BS?

I am all for catching scum bags , but I do have some issues with the means of obtaining this information. So you can just use your (public owned) work related equipment to pull up numbers and such from your personal life? Seems like a fine line there. What if all of us who work with the government (which I do) could just sit around searching random information on people. Think of all the fraud and illegal activities we could find then!

That was one nice thing about living in Phoenix. None of this time change BS. I guess they have enough sun there. LOL I am fortunate and can adjust my work schedule in my current job but it is still just a waste of time in my opinion.

Sounds like a very sad situation all around. Shame on whomever writes these headlines. Sounds like they didn't wait until the child was passed before they started cremation or something.

This is really kind of sad. These people displayed poor judgment, I will give them that, but to print this and make it a HUGE embarrassment with photos, none the less. I'm not sure public humiliation is really the sentence these kinks need.

Why do all of these discussions always leave out probably the MOST important factor in all of this. The PARENTS. Perhaps a nice little referral to child protective services is needed for any child who is not succeeding in school. It is the parents responsibility to raise their offspring. If the parent is not standing behind the teacher and enforcing that homework be done and learning accomplished, then who is really at fault in this equation? That parent chose to have the child. I'm sorry but that is signing up for more than just procreating. The morning after includes feeding, clothing, rearing, and also educating. I really love these parents who have the child and then when the kid turns 18 says ok we're done, you have to figure out all your college expenses by yourself. No, we all know that you pretty much require a college education in these times to even support yourself. If you, as a parent, can not afford to help your child with college, then don't have one! If you are not going to fully commit to raising this child that you create and gleefully accept all of the responsibility, get your tubes tied or a vasectomy.
Otherwise shut the h*ll up and make your child do their homework and go to bed at a decent hour so they can fully engage in this wonderful education someone else is helping to foot the bill for.

"Those incidents happened before Edwards came to Seattle and moved into Cindy's north-end apartment." ummm maybe check out someone before you move him into your apartment? If you move in any Joe off the street without doing so, you are kind of setting yourself up for misery. Not to place all the blame on the victim but get a clue. This isn't the 1950's. People KNOW that there are bad people in the world and know that there are ways, as well as a need to protect yourself. As for law enforcement, who knows what the real situation was there. Privacy laws keep the police from telling the reasons why they do or do not do things at times. I'm sure if they had been to that very apartment 15 times previously for the same complaint and the victim had refused to press charges each time, that the Police would not be able to disclose that, leaving all of us arm-chair judges to vent about it. LOL

I, for one, am hardly shocked by this. I couldn't even get a simple drivers license delivered to me correctly. It's almost like the PO is trying to get all of us to certify everything we send so that we pay more to mail even a simple letter to ensure it actually gets delivered.
