Lia, I don't know who gave you a thumbs down, but I gave you a thumbs up. I'm gonna just keep voting for the underdog.....CREAM. It will be the most efficient as far as heat gain, and it will fit in the best with the existing homes in the area. :)

Well, it's better than the blue. :)

Are there people that want the cream color siding, but don't think it has a chance? C'mon, you guys, if we all voted for the cream, maybe it would pull ahead! The dark blue is completely wrong, you almost NEVER see that color on a house in FL! And another green BC? Let's alllllll VOTE FOR CREAM!!! B)

So, I'm curious, why not the cream color? It is SO HOT there, I feel like the darker homes get a lot of heat gain, that's why most people there go for the lighter color. BC2012 was green, so I don't really want to see another green BC. I love the prairie windows. Other than sponsorship, is there a reason why the original floors can't be restored? I think the oak looks very light, and the bamboo looks ultra busy, when the focus should be on the views, not on the busy floor. I like the neutral palette for the same reasons. Just my 2 cents! :) Hope everyone had a great holiday, and has managed to stay warm!

There are definitely gators in the lakes. Most of them are really small, under 4 or 5 feet. They won't bother you unless you bother them first. What you have to watch for is the safety of your pets. Don't allow them to stray too close to the water.

If you're looking at a map, we lived just down the street from the airport just to the west. Still have family right there, too. I'll ask her to drop by and spy for us! This one has me pretty excited. I've seen a lot of talk here about the basement. We probably won't end up with one. I lived in FL most of my life, and basements are reeeeeeaaaaalllllyyyyyy rare. :( Also, downtown Winter Haven is beautiful and homey-feeling. About coincidences....I lived two and a half miles away from the Islamorada Dream Home when it was built, and we actually went and saw it in person on the tour. It was gorgeous, much better in person than just seeing it online!

Wow. We moved here from Winter Haven! We lived a few lakes over from BC, on Lake Hartridge! How exciting!! I know exactly where this one is! LOL
