The comments there are moderated. Mine didn't publish, but it is in the "pending approval" state. It won't get published, I expect. For I suggested she is a "future brainwashed zombie." And that the world's big problem is demonstrated right here, in a video of a toddler absorbing by rote Islam's dehumanization of the "other" (you know that "Othering" that Edward Said devoted his career to pontificating about wrt the West).

Those are hastily made statements/reactions. When we Americans read an Englishman's anger at that, I believe most Americans think "What? Don't they know how deep runs our respect for them, and how horrified our fear at seeing parts of Europe stumbling so?" I think we assume it (our mistake). I think this is true, for instance, of Mark Steyn as well, whose book "America Alone" was interpreted by some as gloating in places. This unfortunate misunderstanding/offense is a regularly recurring pattern right now.
