I do not say ignore the present. We must fight this to the end. We must fight the current system to conserve our future and freedoms. We must do all we can to stop this abomination that has become the Federal Government. But... the real change we can make is in the future. By voting out the free spending house and senate in 2 years and then getting rid of the Obama administration in 4 years. We must focus on putting people in power who are like us.
Our system of government is still the best in the world and we do wish to keep it. We just need to make it ours once again. We the people need to say enough by electing into office the people who support the American Dream, fiscal responsibility, and a strong America.
I pray to God we can make this work and we do not need to destroy the America we all know and love to fix it. I think and pray there is still time to save what we have through the means set up. Just make sure we all vote from now and start to pay attention to our would be leaders. For our sakes, for our children's sake, and for America.

Colin Powell is a patriot and a hero. He deserves our thanks and our respect.
General Powell is a mystery to me and I am unsure where his new set of beliefs is coming from. He was such a strong Conservative for so many years and then a black man becomes president and the General flip flops on everything we thought he stood for.
I wish he would just quietly retire himself from the political arena. I am afraid his credibility is shot in any political climate expect for the far left.
Yes, government in health care will allow politicians to play God. They will be able to choose your plan, your level of care, and you doctors all based on whatever general criteria they make up. It will no longer have anything to do with you or your health. I pray to God this does not pass and I think God is listening. Even the Democrats are looking at the price tag and saying it will not work.
We are all upset by the Obama administration but it is time we get over it. We need to look to the future. What are we going to do once he is gone? Where are our leaders? We need to look forward and in the future. NOt to the mistake of the present. Lets find our future leaders and the future of our nation.

The second amendment is the second more important amendment in our country, the first being our right to free speech (criticize the government). The second amendment allows us to defend ourselves when that free speech pisses off our current government. The right to bear arms should be absolute to include any type or make of firearm (minus military grade equipment). Gun control should be taught from father to son and our police should be equipped to handle any situation.
The 2008 election has tought us one good lesson. We all must vote and we all must pay attention to our leaders. Obama did not get into office because he had support or because he was a clean politician. Obama had tons of dirt following him. Obama has no experience. It was the fact that most Americans did not care to follow or vote that let him get in. Obama talked a good game. No one looked him up. No on searched for the truth. Obama tricked his way into office. And we let him. I hope we all learned to not only listen to our prospective leaders to to look into them. Learn the truth. Obama ran as a moderate. He is now the most liberal (communist) leader we have ever seen. We have no one to blame but ourselves. Fix the wrong. Next time listen, learn, and then vote.
Finally, the government is going against the black messiah on something. Thank god this false prophet will be exposed. He is not a savior. He is not special. He is just a man with bad ideas. As his support dwindles American can assume the leadership role it should have. We just have to hope it is not too late. And please people. Remember to vote out this inept Congress who has supported this lame president for so long. Only we can make a different. Only we the people can be the Change America needs. Vote out the mislead and ignorant in Congress. Tell them you are important. Take control of your country before we become the next USSR.
Jobs or no jobs is right. Who cares about jobs or job loss. We need to focus on the health of the economy. Lower taxes to support business creation and growth will created the jobs we need. Stopping illegal aliens and unfair trade practices with foreign nations will creates wealth and job growth. We need to focus on our governemtn practices and policies and not on job loss or growth for the future of this nation.
