Last November, we kicked a lot of Democrats out of the House and Senate, and we voted enough new Republicans into the House to give the Republican party the majority there. We took the new Republicans at their word when they said they would change the way things are done in Congress. We put them into office to do the things that must be done ... get rid of ObamaCare, either make Obama prove he's eligible to be President, or get him out of office, and kill the bad bills and laws which have been shoved down the throats of the American people. The new members of Congress need to remember that we sent them there to fight for what is right, and to correct the many wrongs which have been forced upon the people of America. If they just give up and bend to the will of the "old-timers," both Democrats and Republicans, who have been kept in Congress for decades, instead of doing what we sent them there to do, they will have failed to do the job they were hired to do. If that happens, then they had better get ready to lose their jobs when they come up for re-election, as far as I'm concerned! We need a REAL change, for the sake of the American people and for the United States of America!
PART 2: What is it going to take for us to get justice in the matter of Obama's birthplace? I am ashamed of the judges who will not preside over cases concerning Obama's birthplace in the manner in which they are supposed to be carried out! I guess this proves that Justice is not only blind, but that she is also so afraid of one man that she does not do her duty regarding that one man.
PART 1: Did any of us expect a different outcome from this military trial, after we learned that Lt. Col. Lakin was being denied "discovery," and that the judge would not let him call any witnesses who might add credence to his case? This military trial was a travesty of justice, in the highest sense of the word. One thing which really irked me was when I read that the military judge used exactly the same word that a civilian judge used recently, in another courtroom attempt to get Obama to prove where he was born. It struck me as peculiar that both judges said it would be an "embarrassment" for Obama to produce his birth certificate! Why would any person be "embarrassed" to show his or her birth certificate, unless that person is not an American citizen? It sounds as if both judges knew that Obama had not really been born in Hawaii, before either trial even got started That is the only thing I can think of which would account for both judges using that one particular word, "embarrassment," in denying petitioners the right to discovery!
Evermyrtle, thanks for the words of encouragement! This is the first time I've ever had a comment that was not allowed. I'm pretty certain that a comment I made about why the judges are ruling the way they are on ObamaCare is what got my last comment kicked out, but I believe I was right on the money with what I said!
James, I agree wholeheartedly that tar and feathers (AND running them out of town on a rail) would be more apropos, but I was trying to word my comment so it wouldn't be rejected by the administration, as they did to a comment I wrote earlier this morning! (BUMMER!) If the Republicans refuse to listen, just like the Democrats do, then when they are up for re-election, we can vote them out of office just as easily as we voted them in, can't we? It seems that when someone becomes a member of Congress, that person gets such a big head that he loses the ability to hear, and to think for himself, and to reach a sane and rational conclusion about anything. At this point, his brain ceases to function altogether, except to agree to do whatever one or more of the Big Cheeses (the Speaker of the House, or the Majority or Minority Leader of the Senate, or the imposter in the White House) want him to do! Do you agree?
Kate, I am also waiting anxiously for that day to come, and I am hoping that the new Republicans have the strength of character to resist joining the "good old boys" club, but I am not holding my breath! At any rate, they would HAVE to be an improvement over the Democrats we kicked out, wouldn't they?
It appears that the incumbent Republicans in Congress either have very short memories, or else they just weren't paying attention during last month's elections! We voted as many of the deaf Democrats out of Congress as we could last month, because they kept shoving bad bills, like ObamCare and the DREAM act, down our throats. The Democrats refused to listen to us when we told them we did not want those bills being written. We had no option except to replace them with new Republicans, to try to fix some of the things that are wrong with our government. Now it seems that the incumbent Republicans are intent on playing the same old political dirty games that the Democrats played. Don't they understand that we are very serious about getting the political dirty games, and the bad bills, stopped? Maybe we need to refresh the memories of the incumbent Republicans, by sending e-mails and making phone calls!

PART 1: Obama has got one hell of a nerve calling the American people "hostages," and saying that the Republicans are the "hostage takers!" The ONLY people who are holding us "hostage," and who are "hostage takers," are Obama, the Democrats in Congress, and Obama's Czars. This can be proven by Obama's "strategy" to force House Republicans to raise our taxes, when that is the worst thing that could possibly be done at this time! Obama and his followers use their sanctimonious, holier-than-thou, know-it-all attitudes to shove bills we do not want down our throats. They act as if what we say doesn't matter, and as if we are peons who are beneath their dignity, so they feel they don't have to pay attention to one single word we say. They also need to stop treating us as if we are second-class citizens, because we are Americans.
