Seriously, President Obama, I mean this from the bottom of my heart: read Thomas Sowell's Basic Economics. Even if you don't agree with his views, he is about as objective an economist as you can find and knows what can and will produce wealth.

Or you can just continue to throw darts at an economic decision dartboard with Barney Frank and Chris Dodd, it's your choice.

We are still semi-functioning, so I presume we must be a center-right nation.

College campuses are a different story, but contrary to popular belief, there is a society off campus.

Not a fan of his "King of Pork" politics or most of his economic views, but I gotta respect his military service which included a Silver Star and two Purple Hearts.

Nothing snarky to say at all about this from me.

Paint me guilty as well, sir, since I am a human as well. Throw a little more facts in your posts and people will give you a respectful reply most of the time.

What is wrong with governing using free-market principles? Certainly you cannot have an anarchist capitalist system like Albania where the economy is Hell, there has to be some regulation, but why not apply Friedman's ideas in the government?

In some cases, monopolies are the best thing because they are the only company that has a desire to produce a special good, yet they're still monopolies. Doesn't mean they're cancelling out all competition. Truly free markets actually deter monopolies because the amount of competition is limitless and anyone can go into a certain industry and prosper as long as they keep producing items that people like.

Why can it not be small and effective? Liberties and economic freedoms have a tendency to wilt under the scrutiny of large governments.

I really do not know what to say, his story in death is becoming almost as absurd as his life. He seemed like someone who could have used good advice plenty of times in his life, yet never quite could find it and his actions seem to reflect that. Does that excuse all his actions? Certainly not, but it always looked like he could have reached out for help on so many issues yet could never muster up the courage to do so.

I really think he had some type of mental issue after seeing that Martin Bashir interview where he said he had no problems sharing a bed with children not his own and he meant it. He should have been getting help, not planning tours.

That being said, shame on Dr. Murray. No one should have to question the motives of their doctors and be fearful of their lives because of a prescription.
