Just be careful. We were without an Academy for 8-10 years until Francis insisted on rebuilding it. Spending money like that earned him Brady's total hatred.
If your Academy absorbs a lot of dosh - be very careful. It's not the mobile phones Karren will go for, but the big expenditure.

True, Mclaeish was appointed by Gold & Sulls.
Untrue, signings made in the January window nothing to do with them.

Additionally, under Gold & Sulls we had an offer for Sporting's Michel accepted last summer.
Then it ran aground because G & S would not increase the first payment ( of three) which came to about an extra £750k up front.
Transfer fell through.

G& S then used that available capital saved on the Michel transfer to pay themselves nearly half a million "consultancy fees" for the season 2009-2010.
Then they jumped ship with their £81 million.

They are both the worst kind of media whores, obsessed with being interviewed and giving their opinions on everything. You'll find that once it gets going, David Sullivan and Karren Brady will run a very tight ship - David Gold will be told things but will not be involved in the day to day. Bit like Corporal Jones in Dad's Army most times.
