I've got two more days on site here in Coeur d' Alene! Whew!

I sure did intend to post here so much more this year, but literally worked around the clock, seven days a week to make Blog Cabin as awesome as possible. I wish you guys could all see every minute of hard work the construction crew, Dylan, and everyone on site put into this home. There is so much love, sweat, and integrity in this space.

I know the photos, videos, and much more will begin to roll out for you soon to watch, but I'll make sure to take a bunch of pictures for you and write a few blog posts for you all when I get back to LA and have a second.

In the meantime - hugs from me at the cabin!

There are a few lilacs on the property! It was a wonderful surprise to see them bloom. I cut a few the other day - will have to share some pictures - since I can't share the delicious smell!

They remind me of my childhood. Isn't it funny how plants and smells can take you back to another time?

I have to say - the barn is AMAZING. I've been working out of it for weeks now, and it has safely kept all the furniture, supplies, materials, and technology that makes this show work. It's a dreamy addition to any home. The carpenters have been working out of one side - me the other!

It's a real treasure for us, and the winner. :)

I love the steam punk reference! It was certainly in our minds when we designed this wall :)

But you'll have to wait and see!

Yes, it's a great idea to hit up flea markets. There were tons of awesome suitcases here in Idaho, but if I was shopping in LA where I live - they'd be three times the price. Gotta love affordable thrift shopping...
