Wow! I hadn't read the "article" until you pointed it out to me. I'm frustrated on so many levels I can't even speak. I would post a comment, but I honestly don't think it deserves of my time and effort. As a mother of a child who just lost 129.6 pounds (and counting), I'm not only angry, but hurt. BUT, I'm also GRATEFUL that I have friends (and online friends) who "get it." Good luck in your efforts because you ARE worth it! We're all rooting for you!

That's funny! What a great kid! Charlotte & Emily -- that's when your writing and telephoning skills come in handy. When my kids were growing up, the members of the school board always knew exactly who I was -- and my children knew me as Mom, with the poison pen. School districts need to know that certain behavior is NOT acceptable! I got a teacher fired once, and there is a school bus driver who only kept her job after a profuse apology to me.

They can (and will) break your heart many times, Mike, but they will finally get it. Keep the faith. I wish my Dad had lived long enough to see me finally get it. It took me longer than most . . . .
