No I don't believe there are fairies at the bottom of my garden, but if there are people gullible enough to through their money at Spurs, then they are gullible enough for anything. By the way when are the Spurs' supporters going to start claiming, for the nth year in a row, that this will be the season when they finally overtake us in the league?

Really you are berating Arsenal for spending £42 million on Ozil. Tell me how much of the £80 million ( financed by the sale of Bale) did Tottenham squander on the spud duds. These were the players who were going to take spurs to the next level. Factor in the combined wages of these "players" and you'll find that Arsenal got the better deal. As for proudly calling yourselves Y?ds have you not seen the latest genetic research? Apparently the Eastern European Jews are genetic descendants of people who emigrated from Northern Italy in the Middle Ages. Thus if you want to use an offensive racial term (one that I do not use by the way), the correct one should be W?p.
PS is the loveheart sign that Bale makes when he scores for Real the same one that he used to do for the spurs fans?

Actually it doesn't save the British army money. The British government has a long tradition of praising its soldiers when going to war and then abandoning them to poverty when the war is over. Look up the cartoons from Cruikshank and others from the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The Scottish Widows fund was created to support the widows of soldiers killed in the Napoleonic Wars. Indeed privates were recommended not to marry as the regimental funds could be used to support the women the lived with but not their wives.
