Maya,

Hmm...the only possible explanation I have is that maybe the yeast you used wasn't fresh? I've never had that problem, as long as the yeast is good and the water is around 110 degrees.

Nicole, it just means put the whole pan of uncut brownies onto a cooling rack...leave them in the pan to cool!

Jenn, I got mine at a kitchen supply store. I've seen them online on Amazon, as well as higher-end culinary stores like Sur La Table.

Actually, I have never seen this blog before. But aaaah, so funny! My husband and I just spent 30 minutes reading her posts and cracking up. Thank you for the recommendation!

Hey, Lindsey! I read your blog as well :) And I have read the Hunger Games, and LOVE them. I was sad when I finished the last one.

Ooh thanks, Sarah! I happen to have all those ingredients right now. So I'll be trying this recipe out tonight.

Sarah, the clothing exchange sounds great! As does peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies...but that will have to wait till post-Easter :) But I promise to work on that!

The Secret Garden does have all that racial stuff. I think I would have some kid-appropriate conversation about race while reading the book with children. Are there particular ways you have learned to navigate racial issues with your library story times?
