Big Hollywood : USA's Quirky 'Psych' Returns Tonight to Bolster Cable TV's Case Against Broadcast Fare

I have loved Psych from episode one. It's great because both Shawn and Gus have their own quirks. Shawn is carefree to the point of near-idiocy. Gus is far more likely to freak out about something. Upon seeing his first dead body in the first episode he tells everyone, "Ladies, gentlemen, it's been a pleasure..." then he walks out of the house and all you hear is Gus' high pitched, "AIIIIEEEEE!!!" The whole cast is great. I hope Psych runs for many more years.

Big Hollywood : 'Lady and the Tramp' (1955) Blu-ray Review: Timeless, Charming Story Looks Gorgeous In High-Def

This is one of the most beautiful movies ever made. Everything about it is charming, the music is wonderful, and the characters are great. But it's not all kiddy fun. The showdown between Tramp and the rat is one of most intense moments in movies, let alone Disney movies. The romance remains to me the best in all Disney animated movies, bar none. Everybody, sing with me! THIIIIIIS IS THE NIIIIIGHT, IT'S A BEAUUUUUTIFUL NIIIIGHT! AND THEY CALL IT BELLLLLA NOTTEEEE...

What else can you expect from a woman whose biggest hit starts off with the line, "I fly like paper, get high like planes"? Which is sad, because I actually do like that song, but it is off the chain. And I suspect that is one of her milder works.

Big Hollywood : Daily Call Sheet: Six Masterpieces Set for Blu-ray Release, 'Avatar' Sequels Delayed, YouTube Set To

If the Avatar sequel involves the humans coming back and blowing up Na'vi from above, I might be interested. But man, oh man, I hated that movie. I hated every second of it. BTW, if Disney puts Avatarland in Animal Kingdom...cross that bridge, I guess. I will be hard-pressed to despise Disney. This just seems like a bad move.

I gotta tell you, this Sherlock Holmes fan had a bleak outlook on the future of my favorite detective on screen when the Downey version came out. Nothing against Robert Downey Jr., but...COME ON. Then this wonderful series came out, and it was like the sunlight breaking through a dark, gray storm. It was like a cool breeze on a blazing hot day. It was like...Aw, heck, it was awesome. Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman are perfect in their roles.
Big Hollywood : PTC President Tim Winter: The 'Snooki Effect' Is Real - And Devastating

I wonder what the feminists THOUGHT was going to happen when they devoted an entire movement to women being obnoxious little sex monsters--I mean, liberated. Liberated from what, exactly? Respect? Honor? Dignity? Bunch of ridiculous females had to ruin it for the rest of us. You know this is that lame goop excuse of a book series Twilight is so popular. It's the bite-back from the feminist movement. Most girls like the idea of being protected by that one special male. But it's not "good" anymore to be a wife, mother, etc. You're considered weak. Sigh...what I would give to have "the one". But those moronic feminists probably aborted him, given my luck.

Holmes fans should check out "Sherlock", a BBC miniseries starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. It's a modern day adaptation, but it's an almost perfect one. The only flaws I can think of are...are...um...um... Sherlock doesn't have a hook nose? Is that a flaw? Seriously, check it out. It's great.
