I agree with the post on the right of way too, but it might not be written into the deed if she just started using it as a drive and never put it in. It sounds like there are several parcels of land involved which means they took the one she didn't pay taxes on or sold it to pay the taxes on all the parcels. The reporters definitely do not have the whole story. Every states real estate laws are different so you would have to talk to a local real estate attorney to find out what is really going on there.
