"Nationally coordinated grassroots work..."

LMAO! That one completely escaped me. Excellent point!

Darby,

I'm not belittling you in the slightest. [I'm sorry if you perceived it that way.]

Your comment made me wonder if, in fact, you read the PowerPoint though. You're right, it is basic GOTV stuff, but I can't tell you how many TP folks are clamoring for something to do and aren't getting the leadership. It's not their "leaders" faults (so many are new to this), it is simply not having the knowledge on how to organize this stuff.

There really is no magic bullet that anyone will come up with other than organizational skills and mobilization. So far, with few exceptions, no one has stepped up to the plate--or knows how to. This means *we the people* have to do it ourselves, moreso than 2010 because of the disappointments in the ability to affect change with merely the Freshman class (and the fact that it's a presidential election year).

I do know the dilemma with time..probably more than you realize. :) However, if you're able to volunteer even two-three hours a month, Precinct Activism and Recruitment is probably the best utilization of your time.

Lastly, if you do come up with the strategy (or a better idea), please ping me at LUR and let's get it out there (seriously).

Please don't just praise the PowerPoint, use it.

Darby:

Seriously?

But I would love for some smart political strategists, ideally not just GOP establishment hacks, come forward with some ideas and organization on which volunteers such as myself could jump.

Did you not read through the PowerPoint? The strategy is there. If you're not in a TP group, or some other organization, you need to be. Once there, recuit, PC Activism, & GOTV.

There should be committees set up for each task.

You don't need follow a leader, you need to be one.

This was not an SEIU-organized protest. The Blaze article quoted above was a bad case of trying to connect two distant dots.

I didn't say it made sense and one would think it's an oxymoron.

Yet, go to the park, you'll see those who advocate complete anarchy mingling with those who advocate complete Communism. The anarchists want to destroy "the machine" (as do the Communists), yet the Communists have a plan--the anarchists don't (or perhaps they do, but they're pretending they don't?).

Although the unions have since gotten involved, I have yet to see anything that resembles a cogent collective thought as to what 'utopian' system will replace our quasi-free market.

Instead, it is a hodgepodge of (primarily) Marxist thought. (Thus, the reason I'm using the term Neo-Communism).

Actually, I didn't say the protest wouldn't make it through its first two days.

And, actually, I haven't called them "Communists." They are a hybrid, however, of Communism and Anarchy...a "Neo Communism."

Your problem is not the anger, nor the protests. It is the system in which you espouse. Totalitarianism by the masses.
