Right now the only saying that comes to mind is...."you can't polish a t**d."
At last, someone has taken their rose coloured glasses off...bigger businesses than West Ham have collapsed under the GFC. Only results on the field will help us trade out of financial misery! If it doesn't start today, it never will.
Unlike a commercial enterprise we cannot just simply trade out of our current situation. What we do on the pitch ultimately impacts our commercial activity....so, until we start winning, until we begin to show signs that we are a 'going concern' in the EPL then, and only then, will legitimate buyers come forward. Think about it...would you pump money into something you think may go down the toilet...I wouldn't!
We sound like an alcoholic..."I'm NOT an alcoholic" or a gambling adict...."we can't go down, we are having bad luck, we are better than that"....well, I am affraid that we are not! We are now in serious trouble with injuries, ongoing financial problems and poor performances...this is how it starts, we all know how it ends...I can't see any blue sky right now!
