The Greens are notorious for last minute strategic voting.

The BC NDP took what they thought was an opportunistic stance opposing a carbon tax. The Greens essentially punished the NDP and moved their support to the Liberals.

The recent EKOS poll show the NDP is behind the Greens in Alberta, Calgary, and Toronto. This may result in returning the one NDP Alberta seat back to the Conservatives, and it will secure many Toronto seats for the Liberals.

They may even encourage a nation-wide vote swap to get May a seat, and reduce the amount of support for Harper (Liberals will benefit far more than the NDP).

If I was in the NDP camp, I would be desperate to talk to the Greens. Too bad Layton is so stubborn. Did he ever honour that "Dinner with Olivia & himself " auction that Elizabeth May won?
