I fully acknowledge that President Bush sold out on his conservative principals, and he is the first to admit so as well. But never once in his presidency did I EVER feel that his first priority was anything less than the safety and well being of this country. To tell you the truth I don't exactly get the same warm and fuzzy from our current President. It is an incredibly unnerving feeling to wake up every morning wondering what type of crazy shenanigans this administration will force upon us next. November 2010 can't come fast enough for me, because I am in desperate need of a goodnights sleep.

I throw up a bit in my mouth every time I see or hear that Thing.

The comment about the military was the best thing I have read this morning. It basically reads like my life, I did the exact same thing and am still reaping the benefits for defending my country against all enemies foreign and domestic.

Drudge had a link to an article from the Washington Examiner this morning saying that when George H.W. Bush addressed school children Congress (Dem controlled) held hearings on it.

Look, I don't care if he sits down and talks about washing your hands, working hard and staying focused. I think it is his job to show the children in this country that he is thinking about them (now is he really thinking about them when he decided to stick them with paying off 10 trillion in debts, probably not). But I can't say that I mind him telling kids that they shouldn't aspire to be the next contestant on the "Real World".

BTW - Adam, can't wait for the new Season of "Chuck"!

I was under the impression that Mr. Washington went to "rehab" for his hate and anger issues after slinging the F-word at his cast mate. Evidently he has relapsed.

I completely agree with you. Sen. Kennedy told Bork in the hearings "Robert Bork's world doesn't have room for blacks, poor people and other people with disadvantages, therefore the Supreme Court doesn't have room for Robert Bork". Ironically, the Sen. tried not to make room for a black man a few years later.

TMC ran a day full of John Wayne movies about 2 weeks ago. I watched the "Green Berets" for the first time that night. I loved it, classic Wayne. He made a "pro-troops" movie and didn't care that the critics panned it. He didn't make it for the critics and Hollywood he made it for the guys over in Vietnam.

If you switch Colorado with Mississippi, and Dean Martin for Robert Mitchum, you basically have El Dorado. I've always been a big fan of "The Quiet Man" and "The Cowboys" myself.

The irony of your statement is that all of those people are now working for the Federal Government. It's the only place hiring.

Good Lord, if I had known how HARD marriage was going to be I never would have done it! With that being said I think people these days just want an easy out; no one wants to work for things anymore. People who refuse to get married want the option of just "walking away" when things get hard, no red tape, no lawyers, just a clean break. That is all fine and dandy except that isn't how it works in the real world. With people having children out of wedlock (and before you go thinking I am judging - I am one of those people) you don't just get to walk away when things o bad, it becomes messy and the legal waters get murky. Women that have children and don't marry the father or simply combine assets need to know the legal ramifications of what would happen if you were to split. No one likes being left out in the cold....
