Haven't seen the movie... I'll have to take everyone's word for it... but why the direct swipe at scripture [1 Cor 13:11]? I've read a few of your articles and you've never done this, to my knowledge, before.
Paul is talking about being a mature Christian in this passage; which is found in the fantastic 'love' chapter of 1 Corinthians.
And, I don't think enjoying a movie is childish at all.

As I stated a few weeks ago... best scene is the last 'bomb' scene with the guy who has a bomb locked to him.
I didn't like the film. Why? Well, I've been in 21 yrs and am currently deployed to Afghanistan.
Many parts are so implausible as to be laughable. What are the three of them doing driving around the desert by themselves? No reason was given. It isn't done. How is a guy who isn't trained going to pick up a .50 cal sniper rifle and take out bad guys with very little difficulty? And, make no mistake, they were portrayed as knowing what to do (the main character picks up the spotter scope and calls shots). And these highly trained 'snatchers' get gunned down almost to a man.... right.....Soldiers (I'm in the AF) are trained and by and large follow the rules. To quote the great Jack Nicholson "we follow rules or people die." Where were his superiors? When did he report to them? They just don't stay in their hootches, getting drunk and punching each other, waiting on calls...
People get addicted to activities that raise their adrenaline. Wow... thanks for the info.

The sniper 'duel' in Hurt Locker, like MANY other scenes in the movie was so improbable as to be laughable. I get the point that the guy is an adrenaline junkie in the first 5 minutes. Now, I will never get back that two hours of my life.
The movie DOES NOT show the military in a good light. It shows us as people who don't follow rules, go running
off wily-nilly and don't trust our fellow service members.
Best scene? The suicide bomber toward the end. The rest? Hogwash.

I just watched the number 1 on this list. I'm in Afghanistan and I made sure that I had it on my itouch before I left the States. A friend told me about the movie about 15 years ago. I've watched it ever since. And, even though I know it's number 1, I'll still check tomorrow to read the article. Christmas Story I can take or leave (although I will probably watch it tomorrow - a special screening!); But "It's A Wonderful Life" I have to see every year. It's what everyone longs for... to know that we are needed, that we are making a difference, and we would be missed.
Merry Christmas, everyone.

Is that what he generalized? Did he say that the vast majority of Muslims were jihadists? He states "using the enemy’s own words against them." Maybe you are a bit too comfortable with the threat that exist from those who are jihadist.

You keep on keeping on, girl. I'm happy to see so many with the gift of encouragement.

I agree.... when I first stumbled upon LGF a few years ago I liked it... but if you don't agree that Beck is a whack job and believe in man-caused climate change and accept the THEORY of evolution you are the whack job. I don't know why I was so stocked to finally 'register' there.
It's like Stephen Colbert... are you really a conservative deep down or just poking fun (or both?)?

Or how about allowing (or his people allowing) the inaugural prayer to include the hope that "the white will embrace what is right."
Disgraceful.
