I'm sorry but this is a visual medium, and the story telling and synopsis is done through said visuals. If you can't grasp that this is a story about a religious figure who's been on the outs for whatever reason and needs to have his power reinstated by a religious group in order to save the world from vampires then you're dumb as a bag of hammers.

Yeah that was a pic from Hero it was a mistake. Now it's fixed, and it will be playing in the US very soon. You might have to really look for a theater though. I doubt it's release will be very wide. I'm going to try and find a 4k projection here in Norcal if there is one. Follow my twitter @iamkent if you're in the area and I'll try and get a bunch of people together to see it.

Actually I've not only seen the trailer for Red Cliff, but I've seen both versions of the film. Red Cliff is NOT an action film, despite how it's being marketed and how it's cut up here in the US. Over in China it's a 5 hour long drama with more talking than action.

I'm not saying thats a bad thing, but just because the trailer for Red Cliff looks action packed doesn't mean that's how the movie is going to be. It may be John Woo's best film, but it's not action film at all. It's a period piece, a huge epic drama that's incredibly well written.

I wouldn't waste my time watching the 2 1/2 hour version ever again because it feels butchered in comparison to the epic Woo made for his Chinese audience.

Pete and Alex told me they thought it was just ok.... and that when Alex saw it he was dead tired from being up for so long at Comic-Con.

that's really dumb... honestly I just like it when they throw in a digital copy of the movie i can throw on my laptop or iphone. Or like the UP 4 disc version they threw it both the Blu-ray and DVD as well as the digital download, and that was only 35 bucks as Best Buy.

I can't believe you liked this movie man. The rest of us at FF thought it was terrible... hope you'll run my review at some point as another point of view.

the fact you put "crappy" in your description of it shows that it's not that good. To top it off you didn't defend your opinion, just called bullshit without stating why it's so good. Good movie or not, Jim Carrey is a crappy vampire. And yes I wrote that up.

Why do you fear the Americanization of Cowboy Bebop when it's steeped in Western culture and all the characters are white? last I checked I'd be pretty hard to find a Japanese guy named Spike Speigel or Jet Black. That entire show is a Japanese interpretation of Western Culture so i think it's fine.

sorry but I would NOT want to see him direct this film. Especially after seeing Yatterman.

I refuse to feel bad for Joss Whedon at ALL. The man was effed over by Fox before and can't seem to learn his lesson. I'm surprised this didn't happen sooner. I wasn't a huge fan of Doll House because I resented it going on and Terminator getting cancelled instead.

Joss's shows worked well on UPN/WB type networks before they were CW, and with CW having shows like Smallville in their ranks, I'd think it'd be a perfect place for Joss to launch another show. Buffy lasted on those networks forever, as did Angel, and to not stick with a company that's treated you that well is just dumb.

I'm sorry but Joss needs to stick to making online musicals, writing comics, and maybe one day he'll put a show out on a network that's not going to fuck him.. like SyFy. You put Dollhouse on SyFy and it'd have been a huge hit, but nooooooo.
