As it would happen, just saw Devil's Arithmetic just a couple of weeks ago. I wonderful film with meaning and heart, to rare these days. As I watched I reached for a pad and pen I keep nearby and made a note to look up more of Brittany's movies and add them to my Netflix list. Her performance was so moving.

I'd like to add that it was costing Alaska a lot of time and money too. The time and manpower spent dealing with all those frivolous complaints was staggering. I believe it was for the good of the state as well as the good of her family that she chose to step down. And stepping down allowed her to to step up in an even bigger way.

BBC shows seem to be able to do that... just kill people off or give them some reason to leave and then replace them. Been watching another BBC show called Primeval lately and the leads have all been replaced by I think maybe 15 shows in. It's nice in a way, you can never think things will turn out for the good because the lead can't die. :D

I remember watching that and catching something and thinking "did I just hear what I think I heard?" Funny now though that I can't even remember what he said.

Yes, I love the story of the title. The letters from DOCTOR WHO being rearranged to form the word TORCHWOOD as a decoy name for schedules, equipment, tapes, etc during production of the first season of the "new" Doctor Who. Then it sounded so cool they decided to use the name within the show and then spun it off on it's own. (At least that's the story I got from some behind the scenes show somewhere.)

You're like the buffoons running around saying her daughter got pregnant because she had abstinence only sex education... which is not true.

Bring facts, not regurgitated lefty blog BS and I'll listen to anything you have to say. Until then you're just another idiot hater. I can't stand what Darth Obama is trying to do to this country but I refuse to sling the kind of nonsense about him you do about Palin. Anything I say about him is based in fact, not what some guy said to some guy who writes a blog in his mom's basement.

The way my governor (yes, MY governor... I'm darn proud of her and claim her every chance I get) handles these things is not much of a surprise to me. She has yet to do or say anything to show me she's not who she appears to be. Is she perfect? No. Do I agree with her 100% of the time? No. (Well... maybe about 97%) Do I trust her to hold up her hand and say "Yep, that one's on me" if she screws up? Yes. Do I trust her to do what she thinks is RIGHT over what is personally or politically advantageous? Hell, yes.

I haven't had a chance to watch Media Malpractice yet but I'm chomping at the bit.
