Your thinking is purely non-religious which is not surprising. Too many mean people on this board. They would rather go after a praying teacher than those that do far worse in the system. At most, she should have been asked not to do it. And yes, there is real holy oil for Christians and it is not "magical". ...but if you have no faith, you won't believe that. I'll pray for you. We all have until we die to save our souls. Peace.

I agree with you but I can see from the "negative points" given by the other readers, there are a lot of mean people out there who don't like good things but hope to ruin someone's life (take away her livelihood). Taking someone's job away or pressuring her to quit is very evil, especially in this economy.

I don't defend what she did but I don't think she should have lost her job like that. I'm sure she felt compelled to resign because of the pressure (or possible direct hate at her). Either way, it is discrimination when someone is forced to lose their livelihood over a small matter such as this. It's not like she was giving drugs to students.

You have been brainwashed, I see. Actually, humanity has always had spiritual insights and it has allowed it to survive this long. You should watch the History channel. :)

True but she shouldn't lose her job over this. Because that happened, it turns into discrimination against Christians (or whatever religion she claims).

But there are Muslims trying to do just that, changing textbooks to favor Islam and leave out Christianity in textbooks. Or like in Michigan, non-Muslims have to listen to the prayer calls throughout the day. This is America but many Muslims are purposely silencing Christians. I don't agree with the teacher putting something on a student, no matter the good intent but she shouldn't lose her job over this. That is ridiculous.

Yes, I agree with you. People will do so much to hurt others, even take their job away (their livelihood). This teacher wasn't passing out drugs or doing something evil. She was just concerned about their spiritual welfare. This wasn't magic or superstition (though kids today probably wouldn't care about that given all the Harry Potter junk they read)....seriously.....I hope the teacher gets her job back.

As a mom I would be upset if someone was rubbing something on my child, because we don't really know what it was, even if she was calling it "holy oil". I find it odd, however, that she would lose her job. At most, she should just be asked not to use it in school. We need teachers who are religious because right now, there are so many bad influences in our schools. Instead of seeking out real trouble-makers, they go after someone who is praying for the kids. ??

I agree a praying teacher should not lose her job. At most they should have just asked her to no longer use the holy oil (or whatever it was). But your comment is confusing. A pro-life teacher is religious too, not to mention spreading the SCIENTIFIC FACT of what a baby looks like in the womb. Agreed, that elementary school is too young for pro-life materials of that nature but the subject matter is very "holy". It is the abortion pamphlets that are evil.

Maybe that addicted attitude is for younger folk? I watched Lost in the beginning but eventually lost interest as the mysteries never really gave good answers. I felt like the writers were just making up stuff as they went along (which apparently has been done before on other shows). But I wasn't addicted. TV is more a luxury item for me. I really don't get that much time for it. Shows like this are a commitment though, as you really need to know what happened previously to move forward in the story.
