Don't fret, Bahgdad Bob at the WH will get right on this and by the time the distortions are in, it will read as if 98% of Americans agree with Chris Matthews and think Obama is God.
I would feel as if I missed an opportunity to stand by my country and its constitution if I didn't go. I will be there.
Find your congressmen and give them hell! They need to remember that they're our servants and not the other way around. Write, visit, attend meetings, let them know how frustrated and angry you are. Their prescription is a large dose of reality for their well being.
I feel a slight hope now that Americans are waking up, and that its okay not to support the Democrats - it doesn't make you a racist, nor a reactionary, nor an intellectual slug. Its really okay to say no to stupid.
Obama is proving over and over that America will not honor its commitment to its allies, and that Israel, once again, will have to face extinction without any support from the US. I feel so embarrassed and ashamed.
The Germans knew all along that taxing anything during a recession was counterproductive for the recovery of the economy. Their, and China's, stimulus bill led with green technology investments whereas ours led with studying the mating habits of catfish and building tunnels for turtles to cross the road. What did the Democrats think was going to happen as a function of their stupidity?
They could have passed a simple bill that would have provided insurance to those Americans who are either uninsured or underinsured. Instead, they produce a bill that no one is reading and is so enormous that no one really knows what's in it. I'm sure after it is passed, we will be treated once again to Democrats crying out that they were "misled" when portions of the bill reveal themselves to be clearly against the best interest of American middle classers who actually work hard all of their lives to give to those who do not.
Right. This is the populist Obama who identifies with "us". If he wanted to impress, he would have gone camping with his family somewhere on the Potomac and let his water dog enjoy its nature chasing fish. Obama is and always was an effete snob and proves it with every personal choice he makes. He's a perfect Democrat.
She will do far more good now than she did before. She will not have to invest her time, energy, and money on worthless ethics charges sponsored by the Democrats, the party of petty zealotry. I respect and admire her, and like others before her, believe she will overcome.
We are going to have Daschle's healthcare system which is, if you have a potentially fatal disease and/or you're elderly, go die quietly somewhere.
