Um. This guy is gonna work at the National Institutes of Health? Amazing. And Chukkal, maybe he is Berger's cousin. Reckon we'll ever know what Berger really took?

Shortly CNN's Rick Sanchez will blame rightwing radio hosts and TV pundits. Who knew they listen to Rush in Azerbaijan?

There is probably no valid means of verifying these men's ages. Already statist pundits are playing the violin. These pirates keep food aid from people who are starving, receive ransoms so the food aid can then be delivered and have disrupted global trade for years. And you're right, if this had happened under a previous administration, the International Red Cross human rightsers and others would be wailing about it. best, kay

If conservatives had a real backbone, we'd all file for an extension in unison. I'm betting we comprise a big chunck of those taxpayers as opposed to tax recipients.

Statists are praising Obama for correcting an economy he helped tank. During the elections he did the same thing Clinton did--he wailed about the economy and investors and anyone with bucks (as soon as you hear the words 'spread the wealth') took measures to protect what we have earned the hard way.

It's amusing to see statists say conservatives are whining. Conservatives don't whine. We shout and there's a lot of that going on right now, in keeping with tea parties across the nation and more than 30 states issuing resolutions declaring state sovreignty. We might be down temporarily, but we will not give up the battle to save our country by peaceful, constitutional means. It might be a good idea for Congress to read the Constitution. best, kay

Ki-moon needs to get a life. Would somebody tell him the situations he's describing are as old as mankind? Oh, hang on, 'humankind'--that's a fav UN buzz word. God deliver Americans from the UN. best, kay

All I can say is there's nothing better than a conservative "bad boy." I married one and it's been amazing. I was a liberal Democrat in those days. He wore me down. Now I'm a conservative. I love that too. Your stories rock. best, Kay

Reminds me of what Reagan said (paraphrasing)--scariest words are 'I'm from the government and I'm here to help.' Talk about a fiasco. The problem is Dodd. He's the guy who wrote the enabling rule for these bonuses, and he's the guy who got the most campaign donations from AIG (check Open Secrets). And if you go by the law, which most don't do these days, those contracts are more than likely valid. But I'd say Dodd's the dude who did the deed here. best, Kay Day/The US Report

I read the article; it was fvery well-balanced. And like you, I was amazed at the level of mean-spiritedness.

Wait'll they see what Obama and his Congressional cronies slipped in the Omnibus bill--now the United Nations can levy a tax on American taxpayers. And I confirmed that before I wrote about it. I think every US citizen should mail the administration a copy of the US constitution. I will go to jail before I give the UN another dime. And Ban ki-Moon called us "deadbeats" today. best, Kay Day

Teresa, I agree. I've written about this--there is excellent information at groups like Citizens Against Government Waste on the history of earmarks--they began to increase during the 1980s under a Dem Congress and simply exploded from that point on. There is also flagrant hypocrisy in our president's statements. He managed to insert a record number of earmarks during his short spell in the Senate. And most of his are questionable--a perpetual $1,000,000 earmark for the Paul Simon institute? It's no coincidence the senator was a mentor to Axelrod and Obama.

As all Americans tighten their own budgets, the U.S. government has no right to expand spending.

There should be legislation requiring that if you designate an earmark, you delete funding in that amount from another item. That would I believe solve the problem.

Our current Congress and new administration are spending the country into bankruptcy. The Dems used the economic problem to push through questionable spending. That is an affront, in my opinion. If you'd like to see the column I wrote, just let me know. Establishment media did not do their research on this matter. best, Kay
