Bi-racial babies are the cuties things anyways so why the hell not make more of them, I mean common! I am a bi-racial (black) male and I actually am really good at sports. I have been in multiple sports all my life from baseball, football, track and field to swimming, snowboarding and bmx riding that has mixed baby written all over it. Granite some of these sports I don’t partake into anymore but just to show some of what I was in when I was younger those are the ones. Also I was a sprinter for my track team for all four years, which seems like that is a typical stereotype for African Americans so yes that is true here, but its not always true. I know some other black guys who are not fast runners at all and I know of some white people who are really fast and even faster than I. But to sum everything up, i think its going to be a very long time until a large majority of people come to an understanding that race is not really that important and that it should not be an issue.

I also know some white people who, “say they’re not racist” but deep down, when the N BOMB, “slipped out” I know they really wanted to say it. Those two words are the same two words I have been hearing many more times than a few, from being around some of my country/redneck friends, “slipped out”, thinking it is funny. My perception so far as if I think that one day everyone will be on the same playing field when it comes to sports and getting jobs, I guess one of the largest ways I think people can eventually learn to deal with different races might be by bi-racial couples. I think because a lot of people are sometimes attracted to different races and this leading to having bi-racial babies is a great way for some people to ease into accepting different races which would lead to it not being an issue anymore.

PART#1

I don't believe that race will never really stop being an issue, over time it might mellow down more but there will always be some people out there that have an issue with other races. There are still a lot of racial people in the world today who are too stubborn to accept other races. I know a few people my-self, both white and black that is pretty racist towards other races. My grandmother, a black lady, is very racist towards white people. She doesn’t even like my mother who is half white, and half black. Ever since my mother came into my fathers’ life my grandmother has never liked my mom. And my mother and father, going on their 18th anniversary, are still having problems with my grandmother not being respectful to my mother and not talking behind her back. It is all because my grandmother can’t accept the fact that my mother is part white.

I can’t even really list something that black kids would like to do because I haven’t been raised around them long enough to know. I know some of my cousins are in to sports, like I am, such as basketball, football and baseball but other than sports I wouldn’t really have too much of a clue as to what black kids like to do for fun. To sum this all up I just think that there is too many reasons out there, too many different types of people, too many different life styles, too many different cultures for anyone to want to be open to going outside of their comfort level to want to go to another race. Like the saying goes, “if its not broke, don’t fix it”.

I, a black male, know i don't have any problem going up to a different race open armed with intentions on becoming friends. I am mixed, some black some white and I have both black and white family members. Its not a fear at all for me to be open to having a by-racial relationship whether its being friends, partners, co-workers etc. But not all people are raised or as comfortable to have a open mind set which is why im hear blogging about this subject. I have lived in a predominately white community for almost most of my life and because of this it is actually sort of hard to fit in with black friends, not because im afraid of becoming friends with black kids but just simply because we have different life styles. I mean I love to fish, hunt, hike, dirt-bike and four-wheeler ride, go mudding in friends trucks or whatever the item might be, and im not saying that some black people might not like to do something like that im just trying to state that its typically NOT something you would find a black person doing.

I think people tend to stay in their own racial clicks because sometimes people are afraid to meet new people as others. Maybe because of a bad experience one has had with another, which hindered their ability to trust unfamiliar people. Say a white, women had a bad experience with a black man or a man of color and she no longer feels that she is safe around men. That can be put into a broader perspective for a lot of women I’m sure, and vice versa. Maybe a man has had an unpleasant encounter with a women of another race for example, maybe he could’ve have been charged guilty on account of rape when he was actually innocent. Now he has a hard time trying to find himself with a women. People in general I think might have a fear of meeting new people or associating with different races because if its unfamiliar and uncertain then its hard to put yourself out there to want to become something with another race.
