I would love see a Latina VP. However, the VP needs to take over if the President dies or is incapacitated, and political parties need to consider that as do voters. I don't think Susana is Presidential material regardless of her other qualifications.

Comment Part Three:

Scientology is not some harmless Hollywood celebrity space alien cult. It is one of the most vicious and destructive organizations in the US that is quite literally getting away with murder, and society by its silence and cowardice is letting them do so.

Mr. Ryan, I do not know if you are a Catholic or a non-Catholic Ryan. If you are Catholic you may now know that Scientology is of very great concern to our bishops and cardinals and clergy and laypeople involved in the
Anonymous anti-Scientology movement. If you are not Catholic I hope you now realize that bringing Scientology to account is of concern to conservatives, particularly since it forces women into abortion as a matter of policy. No organization but the government of China does that.

So to sum up, there is no "Anonmous hacktivist collective". The accurate thing to write is "hacker groups operating under the name of Anonymous." They could be operating under the name John Doe or anything else for that matter.

It is important to make the distinction because Anonymous of the anti-Scientology movement is doing the Lord's own work and bringing Scientology to account. I hope my fellow Catholics and conservatives will join in the effort. The more of us there are, the sooner the coerced abortions, destruction of families and businesses, and the enormous psychological and spiritual damage Scientology inflicts will come to an end.

Comment Part Two:

Scientology has threatened to sue for libel a revered order of Catholic nuns, the Daughters of St. Paul in Italy for having published books by a former Scientologist, Maria Pia Gardini, who has returned to the Catholic faith.

The only religious critic of Scientology in the US who writes frequently on Scientology's abuses is Editor Randy Sly at Catholic Online. He was blasted by a spokesman from Scientology's intelligence agency, the Office of Special Affairs (OSA) for fomenting "religious hate and violence" and aiding and abetting the "cyberterrorist Anonymous religious hate criminals."

Scientology has silenced and intimidated every single major institution in society including the government, the churches, human rights organization, the mental health professions, and the media. It was the young college students of Anonymous alone who have had the courage to expose them. It has made a huge difference - there has been a flood of defectors from Scientology hugely grateful for Anonymous, many because they are now re-united with their families from whom Scientology forced them to sever all relationship.

It really puzzles me why no one, but no one on the Right has had the guts to stand up and denounce Scientology, particularly when it coerces every pregnant woman in its Sea Org "religious order" to abort her baby under threat of losing her job and being subject to the usual Scientology campaigns of defamation and destruction. The St. Petersburg Times has produced an exhaustive report on these abortions in their article "No Kids Allowed."

It is really puzzling why Andrew Breitbart and the Bigs have said nothing since Andrew co-authored Hollywood Interrupted with Mark Ebner, which has an entire chapter exposing Scientology.

Scientology is basically a bully and society has allowed itself to be cowed and bullied. What makes Andrew's failure to speak out even more puzzling is that the only figure of national importance to have spoken out against Scientology is a Republican: Mitch Daniels.

When Mitch worked for Eli Lilly he told USA Today, "The Church of Scientology is no church. It's a commercial enterprise. Every judge and every investigative journalist who has ever looked at it has come away with that conclusion. It is organized for only one purpose, which is to make money." Scientology sued him for libel and lost.

Comment Part One:

Mr. Ryan, thanks for doing this great work. I must comment on your use of the term "*the* hacker group Anonymous." There isn't such thing. There are three main entities that operate under the name Anonymous, one of which is not a hacker group at all and which should be important to every Christian who is conservative and votes Republican.

And that is Anonymous of the anti-Scientology movement known as Project Chanology. It has most emphatically rejected hacking, DDoSing, and every form of illegal activity. For nearly four years now they have been successfully protesting the crimes and abuses of the Church of Scientology, which is under surveillance by the German government right along with Islamist extremist groups.

The German government has repeatedly commended Anonymous for its work against Scientology and Cardinal Marc Ouellet of Quebec has defended their right to free speech. Catholic cardinals, and the Vatican do not defend the right of free speech of hacker groups.

Cardinal Ouellet has given explicit warning to Canadian Catholics about Scientology. Archbishop Robert Rivas devoted the last third of his Easter homily last year to denouncing infiltration of the island of St. Lucia, which is 70% Catholic, by the Scientology front group The Way To Happiness International.

Catholics have good reason to support the Anonymous anti-Scientology movement which includes to my personal knowledge Lutheran and Salvation Army ministers, Catholic religious, and active-duty and retired military personnel, lawyers, doctors, and many other professionals.

Two Catholics have died in the last four years just because they were critics of Scientology - Italian American Catholic Tom Ciancio in Denver was murdered in cold blood by his Scientology boss in 2009. In 2007, 20-year-old Catholic college student Kyle Brennan from Charlottesville, Virginia, died two days after his fanatical Scientologist father impounded his anti-depressant. His mother Victoria Britton has filed a wrongful death suit. The court documents filed so far suggest that he was either driven to suicide or his death was a homicide that was made to look like a suicide.

This innocent young man was deemed an "Enemy of Scientology" for merely having said, "Only an idiot would believe in L. Ron Hubbard" and because he was under the care of a psychiatrist and taking an anti-depressant.
