Endorsing the continuance of a weak American Adminstration is of course what would be preferred by the Russians. If the situation was reversed we would say the same thing. It benefits the Russians to see the status quo continue, it is as simple as that.
There is an odd trend of Governments around the world quielty stocking up and hoarding food reserves/supplies for whatever reason. The North Koreans I think are trying to do the same rather than buying theirs they opt intead for begging and extortion.

China is really stupid playing this game of allowing the North Koreans to play these games as a way of keeping us busy. It will only result in Japan quietly going nuclear. People say they would never do it but they already have everything and could put one together easily and would likely have our quiet approval. One would think China would like to avoid this. But when NK says they will not limit attacks to the peninsula they are referring to Japan. So what should Japan do? It's an easy answer.
